Sumita Singha OBE

Founding Trustee


Sumita is an award winning architect, author and artist who has worked in the UK and abroad. Sumita is the founder of Architects for Change, the Equality Forum for British Architects. She is currently a trustee of four other built environment charities including the Royal Institute of British Architects. She was a non executive director in the NHS and a member of the NHS sustainable health system leadership group. Sumita has written many books and lectured widely on sustainable design.

Chater Paul Jordan

Chater studied History of Arts at Cambridge and has been associated with the charity in a volunteer capacity since its inception. He has also contributed to many arts workshops, building and refurbishment schemes for charities, including for Charushila. 

At university and in his present work, he has raised money for many charitable causes, such as Sports Relief and Royal British Legion.

Catchik Paul Jordan

Catchik is our youngest trustee, in line with working with youth and children. He is currently studying English Literature and does creative writing, photography and painting in his spare time. He did a course on Sustainable cities with Energy Gardens, one of our partners.

Dinah Bornat is an experienced award winning architect specialising in child friendly cities.

Ian Davies is a chartered accountant, specialising in financial services for charity sectors.

Jane Ward is an accountant specialising in the charity sector. She has been associated with Charushila for a long time and was past trustee
